Corporate Office Parking Lot Sale Will Be Donation Center for House of Ruth Holiday Store
ONTARIO, CA: Local family owned and operated retail discount family apparel chain, Susie’s Deals has teamed with the House of Ruth to provide holiday gifts for women and children victimized by domestic violence. Thursday, December 1 kicked off the first day of the Susie’s Deals annual holiday parking lot sale at the company’s corporate office and distribution center at 620 S. Wanamaker Ave. in Ontario, CA. 91761. The Susie’s Deals sale is hosting a donation center for the annual House of Ruth’s Holiday Store. The sale runs for 22 days and the donation center will remain open even after the Holiday Store end donation date of December 16. The hours are from 9 am to 6 pm daily.
The owners of Susie’s Deals recognized the need of much needed essential items for the House of Ruth’s Holiday Store and felt that they could help provide some of these basic items. The annual Holiday Store provides new toys, gifts, and clothing to battered women and their children at no cost. Susie’s Deals decided to invite their customers to come out to the holiday parking lot sale and purchase some of the items on the donation wish list. All items sold at the Susie’s Deals sale are $5 or less and any two $5 items purchased for the purpose of donation to the House of Ruth Holiday Store will merit a 10 percent discount on all items purchased and will result in a tax deduction for the donor.
“Donating to the House of Ruth is a great opportunity for Susie’s Deals employees and customers to get involved in a charitable activity to help people in need in our community this holiday season” said owner Susie Hyman. “We welcome any and all donations of new items for the House of Ruth and we will make it easy to donate all items, because we will collect the items purchased at our sale as well as the items brought out to the sale for donation. We will deliver them to the House of Ruth in time for the battered women and their children to have a wonderful Holiday Store selection.”
Among the items on the House of Ruth Holiday Store wish list are blankets, pillows, pajamas, and sweat suits for mothers. Clothing for children, slippers, robes, sweaters and jackets. All of these items will be available to purchase and donate at a discounted price at the Susie’s Deals Holiday Parking lot sale. Last year House of Ruth helped 336 people have a happier holiday season because of the gifts provided in the Holiday Store. This year, Susie’s Deals hopes to help even more moms and children by getting the word out to their customers and employees about donating to the House of Ruth.
